The pocket-sized Monkey has six decades of history, a fact that no doubt contributed to the enthusiastic appeal of this model. The 2022 Monkey comes with a fifth gear (the same powerplant as the new 2022 Grom). For more comfortable cruising, it has a modern engine with a wider spread of gear ratios and a 37-tooth final drive sprocket. The changes provide peppy acceleration from low speeds and increased top speed as well.
